This announcement should have been up earlier, but the October blogging blackhole (in which all non-class writing was swallowed up by the sheer gravitational force of the quantity of pages needing to be read) sort of knocked it out of orbit for awhile.
But I’m taking time out of reading this weekend (and what I should be really doing, which is writing on Peter Singer) to attend the Chicago stop of the WorldChanging book tour – meaning you all should too! This Sunday, the WorldChanging crew will discuss their new book at the Shedd Aquarium (which is always worth a visit in its own right) from 6:30-9:30. “Amazing special guests” have been promised, but if you’ve read the site, you know it’s going to be a great evening special guests or no.
You can RSVP at WorldChangingChi [at] Gmail.com
To reiterate:
Sunday, November 12th Shedd Aquarium (1200 S. Lake Shore Drive – part of Museum Campus; the #6 stops right there, as does the Metra)
6:30-9:30
And while I haven’t had the chance to check out the book yet (we ordered it way in advance, not knowing what our current address would be, so it’s sitting safely at the in-laws) the reviews are all stellar. I think my Thanksgiving weekend reading has been chosen.
